THE SOUTH AFRICAN CITY OF DURBAN IN THE PROVINCE OF KWAZULU-NATAL HOSTED THE FIRST WORLD FOOTBALL SUMMIT ON THE AFRICAN CONTINENT LAST WEEK. OUR PARTNER DSC ARMINIA BIELEFELD WAS ONE OF THE FEW GERMAN CLUBS TO TAKE PART IN THIS HIGH-PROFILE CONFERENCE. MANY DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES FROM THE WORLD OF SOCCER, POLITICS, BUSINESS AND SOCIETY MET FOR THIS CONFERENCE.
Together with Maritzburg United the club had the opportunity to present itself on the main stage as part of a panel: "Building bridges: Insights of the cooperation between Arminia Bielefeld and Maritzburg United".
Heiko Flottmann (Head of Development at DSC Arminia) explained from the club's point of view why South Africa in general and Maritzburg United in particular were strategically chosen. Together with Peter Petersen (Head of Youth Development at Maritzburg United FC) and moderated by our CEO Sebastian Schächter, both shared their experiences and gave deep insights into the exchange.
We are very proud to have enabled this fantastic opportunity for both clubs.
