THE DSC ARMINIA TWO-WEEK TRIP TO SOUTH AFRICA ALSO INCLUDED A REUNION WITH FORMER ARMINIA GOALKEEPER ROWEN FERNANDEZ. FERNANDEZ, PLAYER AT ARMINIA BETWEEN 2007 AND 2010, WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK.

In addition to the numerous training sessions, Fernandez did not miss the opportunity to tell the 60 children about his time in Bielefeld and to answer the numerous questions of the kids and coaches.

David Ribero, director sport of the Total Football Excellence Academy organized Fernandez's visit and established the contact. The coaching team of the Total Football Excellence Academy includes numerous other former professionals from the South African Premier League, such as Isaac Mabotsa and Gabriel Mafokeng, who has also played for the youth academy of Ajax Amsterdam.

In addition to the training sessions, the coaches also received various coach development courses, which led to a lively exchange of ideas.
